Hairspray holds a delighted audience

The college’s BTEC National Diploma Performing Arts students staged the musical Hairspray at City College’s Hub Theatre as part of their final major project.

This large scale production involved seventy Taunton’s students, including cast, musicians and technical crew who worked in partnership with City College BTEC Technical Theatre students.

Many months of preparation culminated in a memorable performance in front of an enthusiastic audience.

'The choreography and stage sets for Hairspray were fantastic. The cast embraced their characters, particularly Daisy Wheeller as Motormouth Maybelle who filled the theatre with her incredible voice. The audience were astounded with her rendition of I Know Where I've Been,” says Taunton’s staff member Natasha Carr.
