A great exchange despite the rain in Spain

06/04/2011
Students studying AS and A level Spanish have completed an exchange programme with fellow students in Pamplona.
A week in a rather wet northern Spain for the Taunton’s linguists was followed by playing host to their Spanish exchange partners in Southampton.
“The exchange trip to Pamplona was quite possibly one of the hardest and yet rewarding experiences of our lives. Living with a Spanish family meant we were thrown in the deep end and totally immersed in Spanish culture, language and food,” says Hanna Williams.
While in Spain the students visited the nearby cities of San Sebastian and Bilbao and explored their host city, famous for its annual festival of San Fermin where bulls run freely through the streets.
“We spent plenty of time in cafés appreciating Spanish coffee and absorbing the culture around us. It was definitely a week to remember and we will certainly be staying in touch with all our new friends in Spain,” adds Hanna.
