  1. Students who already have a grade D at GCSE Maths from school should take the GCSE Use of Maths course.
  2. Students who have an E or below at GCSE Maths from school should take the Money Management course. If they pass this they can progress onto GCSE Use of Maths next year.

What else do I need to know?

Notes:

  1. FSMQ stands for Free Standing Maths Qualification. FSMQs count as qualifications in their own right.
  2. All the exams have pre-release data sheets which we receive three weeks before the exam so that students are well prepared in answering questions on the real life contexts in the exam.

Qualifications:

1. Students on the GCSE Use of Maths can obtain three separate qualifications:

GCSE Level Certificate in Use of Maths
Two Free Standing Maths Qualifications.

2. Students on the Money Management course take two separate qualifications:

FSMQ in Money Management
Functional Skills Level 1.
