  • To introduce Chinese culture through its language, especially through its unique writing system.
  • To teach learners to write simple Chinese characters, with correct stroke order.
  • To arouse and sustain learners’ interest in Chinese by de-mystifying Chinese as a difficult language.

Further Information
This course starts on Tuesday 05th October 2011 7pm - 9 pm.

If you have already enrolled, please arrive at least 10 minutes before your first class is due to start and Adult Education staff will direct you to your room.  The Adult Education office is located in Reception at the front of the building, facing Hill Lane.  If you have not yet enrolled, please call in or send a cheque by post soon, as many courses get fully booked early.

Refunds
The viability of a course is determined by the level of enrolments so the acceptance of a course fee payment should not be regarded as a guarantee of a place on a course. The College will refund the full fees if a course is cancelled before it starts, and a partial refund will be given if a course is cancelled once underway. If a student withdraws from a course in the first three weeks a 50% refund will be considered at the discretion of the college.  Applications for a refund must be received in writing no later than four weeks from the course start date.  If a student withdraws from a course after the first three weeks no refunds will normally be available.
